Session Formats
The scientific program is structured to cover a wide array of topics, ensuring relevance to all professionals involved in the field.
Plenary Sessions
High-level sessions that cover the main themes of the conference, featuring talks by renowned speakers on topics of broad interest to the paediatric infectious diseases community. Plenary sessions are designed to be accessible to all attendees, providing updates on the latest advancements, challenges, and solutions in the field.
Parallel Symposia
These consist of multiple sessions or presentations occurring simultaneously, in separate halls or virtual tracks. Participants choose which session to attend based on their interests, needs, or areas of expertise, as each session focuses on a specific subject to cater to diverse audiences.
Industry Symposium
Sponsored presentations by companies involved in the development of solutions and technology for the treatments of paediatric infectious diseases. These sessions provide insights into the latest industry advancements and are not included in the main event’s CME/CPD credit.
27th Walter Marget Educational Workshop
This is a clinically-oriented educational workshop focuses on the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases in children. There are four talks by well-known experts, as well as small-group interactive case discussions with close interactions between trainees and faculty. It is necessary to apply for this session here.
17th ESPID Research Masterclass
The ERMC is an exclusive forum for active pediatric infectious diseases research groups in Europe, held annually before the ESPID Meeting. It covers both lab-based and clinical studies in any area of pediatric infectious diseases. The seminar offers a supportive setting for presenting ongoing or completed research, allowing participants to receive valuable feedback from peers and senior experts on research design, interpretation, and presentation of results. Meet The Expert
These sessions will consist of two experts presenting brief introduction/update of the topic, followed by interactive case-based presentations. The experts may frequently use case reports with questions regarding diagnosis and management, usually chosen from ESPID 2025 abstract submission.
Research Sessions
1.5 hours Research Sessions, designed to support new research groups. Attendance to these sessions will be open to all Meeting participants. There is no need to register for these sessions.
Joint Symposia
Sessions made in collaboration with other prominent societies in the field of PIDs from all over the world to broaden the perspective on study, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases in children.
