ESPID 2027

31 May - 4 June 2027, Berlin & Online

Be part of the global PaedsID community at one of Europe’s leading Meetings in the field

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Local Organising and the International Scientific Committees, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 45th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID), which will take place from 31 May to 4 June 2027  in Berlin, Germany.

In this dynamic environment, the ESPID Meeting will be embedded in a high-quality infrastructure in respect to meeting venue, accessibility, accommodation, transportation, sustainability and social events.

In Berlin, the scientific environment is significantly expanding. Not only that the city hosts one of the largest and most famous university hospitals, the Charité, which also hosts the Centre for Global Health. Berlin is home of several research facilities, like Max-Planck-Institutes, Helmholtz- Institutes Frauenhofer-Institutes and the Humboldt, Freie and Technical Universities, as well as Germany’s national public health agency Institute, the Robert Koch Institute as well as the WHO HUB for Pandemic Intelligence and Preparedness.

We plan to make the ESPID Meeting in Berlin a lively, unique and unforgettable event. The main theme of the Meeting is “Pediatric infectious diseases – international and interactive”. Amongst the main topics, you will find antimicrobial resistance and stewardship resistance, new preventive, diagnostic and treatment strategies, inflammation and immunity to name a few. We aim to look at these all topics in their global context, and in times of climate Change. Our national society the DGPI will be significantly involved in the Meeting organization.

Our Meeting setting will bring people and science together at various levels: first, our joint symposia will bring together different pediatric subspecialities to enrich the scientific quality, offer different perspectives on infectious disease and support future collaborations. Second, we will bring the audience to the stage in new and innovative formats, including more interactive discussions. Third, all of our programme will have a global perspective, as we will pair teams of researchers from resource-rich and -poorer settings during our talks and symposia.

In line with previous meetings in Bucharest and Bologna, come and join us for the third B on the list of ESPID Meetings, here in Berlin, where we look forward to bringing people, science and best practice together and create an unforgettable ESPID experience with you and for you!
