Prof. Beigelman’s research interests include the role of interactions between early life infections and the microbiome in the inception of childhood asthma and approaches for childhood asthma management and prevention.

Prof. Camille Locht, PhD, is currently a Research Director Emeritus at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) and was the founding director of the Center for Infection and Immunity of Lille at the Institut Pasteur de Lille. After a 3-years post-doctoral stay at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, USA, where he started to work on pertussis and cloned the pertussis toxin genes, he joined SmithKline-Beecham (now GSK) to help developing acellular pertussis vaccines.
